Shipping, Delivery and Returns

Effective January 1, 2026

Compounded medication is made for one named patient and cannot be returned to stock once it leaves our custody. This page explains how we ship, what happens when something goes wrong, and who bears the cost in each case.

Cold Chain

Preparations marked for cold shipping in our formulary travel in validated refrigerated packaging chosen for the destination and the season. Tracking is sent automatically to the contacts on the account. Sixty-two preparations in the 2026 formulary require refrigerated transit; the requirement is a property of the preparation and is shown before you order, not discovered on arrival.

Beyond-Use Dating

A compounded preparation carries a beyond-use date assigned under USP standards rather than a manufacturer expiration date. The date runs from the date of compounding, and release testing, fulfilment and transit each consume part of it. Prescribe quantities the patient can reasonably use within the labelled window; ask us before writing an extended supply and we will tell you what dating that formulation will carry.

When We Reship at Our Cost

We sent the wrong drug, strength or form; an item on the prescription was missing; we shipped to the wrong address; the product arrived damaged or defective; a cold-ship item was outside range on arrival; or dating on arrival was shorter than your agreement allows.

When the Recipient Is Responsible

The address given to us was wrong or incomplete; the patient or clinic refused or failed to accept delivery; a package was lost or stolen after confirmed delivery to the correct address; signature was waived and the carrier confirmed delivery; or storage after delivery was outside labelled conditions.

When We Work It Out Together

A carrier delay spoils a shipment through nobody's fault, weather or a regional event disrupts delivery, or something happens that is not listed here. We split or absorb the cost case by case, and we do not hide behind a table.

Returns

Prescription medication cannot be returned to pharmacy stock once it leaves our custody. Where a refund, credit or replacement is not required by law, we will still review the circumstances and make it right where it is fair to do so. Report anything missing, damaged, incorrect, tampered with or temperature-concerned as soon as you notice it, with photographs of the product and packaging, and keep the product, label, box, insulation and coolant until our review is finished — the carrier requires them for a claim.
